Grissom School Community, Hauser

I am truly honored to serve as the principal of Grissom Middle School. This opportunity is incredibly personal for me, as I have spent all 44 years of my life in Sterling Heights—born and raised near 14 Mile and Ryan—and I couldn’t be prouder to now lead in the city I call home.

Education has been both my career and my passion for more than two decades. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and my master’s degree from Marygrove College. This school year marks my 21st year working in middle schools. I began my career teaching on the South Side of Chicago, later held leadership roles in Detroit Public Schools, and most recently served as principal at Middle School East in L’Anse Creuse.

My family is deeply rooted in Warren Consolidated Schools. My wife is a WCS teacher, and my two daughters are students in WCS. Being able to lead and serve in the district where my family lives, learns, and works means everything to me.

At my core, I believe relationships come first. When we trust and support one another, great things happen—for kids, for staff, and for our entire school community. I look forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff, learning from each of you, and working together to keep Grissom moving forward with pride and purpose.
